Dynamic healthy living requires balance, growth and nurturing in many
dimensions.
It is a participatory process by client and therapist alike that
benefits from a variety of services offered within a coordinated
framework. As we begin to replace the scientific view of illness
care and prevention of the 20th century with a more holistic and
integrated approach, we begin to understand there are many facets
of an individual that define and influence their health. The portal
for one person may not be the same for the next, and we as practitioners
must be diligent in searching for the most appropriate and therapeutic
approaches.
Establishing an environment where the practitioners embody a spirit of health, as much for themselves as for their clients, will lay a solid foundation for facilitating access and understanding to a multi-disciplinary philosophy. Recognizing that the stages of a healing journey take on many forms, we must be able to address the spectrum of health, fitness, growth, pain, and trauma.
On a more expanded, global level, InnerWorks would like to be a source of spirit and healing reaching beyond its immediate boundaries. Ultimately, redefining trauma into a transformative experience on an individual level will go a long way towards laying a foundation for community and global healing.
