Julie Long CPT – has been a certified Pilates instructor since 2001 and a Pilates Method Alliance Certified Pilates Teacher since 2005. Ms. Long was first introduced to Pilates in 1994 as a ballet dancer.
Wichita Pilates Group, LLC was opened in February of 2005 by owner and PMA Certified Teacher Julie Long. What is Pilates?
Pilates is a method of exercise created by Joseph H. Pilates. Pilates developed his movement regime to stretch, strengthen and balance the body. Pilates exercise focuses on postural symmetry, breath control, abdominal strength, spine, pelvis and shoulder stabilization, muscular flexibility, joint mobility and strengthening through the complete range of motion of all joints.
The guiding principles of the Pilates Method are whole body health, whole body commitment, and breath.
