Facilitator: Barbara Denison APRN, AHN-BC
Program Learning Objectives
At the completion of the program the participant will:
- have a direct experience of centering of consciousness through weekly exercise
- identify the key concepts of wellness
- describe two aspects of each dimension of the wellness inventory
- participate in experiential exercises to enhance understanding of each dimension of wellness
- participate in discussions about the dimensions of wellness
- create at least one action goal that contributes to overall wellness
- complete a stress spin on the wheel
Prerequisite:
$40.00 fee to authorize you to have access to the Wellness Inventory for one full year. This provides access to resources that include the ability to take the Wellness Inventory twice and have access to the journaling and goal setting features. You can even arrange to have email reminders about your goals sent to you so that you can revise them to make them more doable or change them when they are successfully completed.
There are many other articles, website and book resources available categorized within each dimension of wellness in case you want to explore something more deeply. There are great commentaries in each dimension that help you have a more complete understanding. The feature of comparing your first and second wellness and satisfaction scores is really useful. Generally, it’s recommended to take the 2nd Wellness Inventory six months after the first to give you time to integrate changes.
